Description
French floor lamp from the 1950s, produced by Maison Arlus. Base and arm in polished brass, shaft in black lacquered and polished brass, ring supporting the lampshades and switches in polished brass. The light arm slides inside the base, allowing the height of the floor lamp to be adjusted. The diffuser can be rotated by means of a brass ball-and-socket joint, providing a double lighting system. Electrical system changed and lampshades refurbished to match the originals.

Story
Arlus was a French lighting publisher, very active since the 1950s and close to the modern design movement. The house’s headquarters were in Paris in the 11th arrondissement and its exhibition store in the 17th arrondissement. The publisher offered more than 300 new classic or modern models. -
