Maison Jansen foliage gilt bronze floor lamp 1950s
-
Description
This beautiful French Maison Jansen floor lamp was created in the early 1950s with solid foliage shaped gilded bronze structure. The lamp is composed of three feet that continues up to the top. The piece is made of solid bronze, delicately cast in the form of pruned twigs foliage, with the whole frame fully gilt. The shade has been renewed as original, with a soft ivory cotton fabric, and a specific structure matching the nickeled steel torchere, with two sockets on the side, and one socket on the top, for direct and indirect lighting. The gilt bronze structure has been clean, and has a beautiful patina, with electricity rewired and checked. This floor lamp has a beautiful provenance, it was part of the Nilufer Hanımsultan Collection, Princess of Hyderabad, and Princess of the Ottoman Empire.
