Description
Italian sideboard from the 1950s, restored and restyled with great attention to craftsmanship and modern proportions. The structure is made of solid wood, finished with a green shellac lacquer that enhances the curved profiles and rounded edges. The doors are framed by a subtle wooden border and fitted with a minimalist brass handle detail. The cabinet stands on four tapered black-painted iron legs, giving a balanced contrast to the bright lacquered surfaces.
Inside, the cabinet is lined with natural oak and includes a central shelf. Brass accents subtly enrich the composition, highlighting the junctions and transitions between materials. The restoration involved a full refinishing process: deep sanding, color and finish reconstruction, and application of shellac-based lacquer by hand. The result is a piece with ultra-modern geometry and refined mid-century detailing, representative of the best Italian cabinetmaking of the period. -
