Pair of 1950s Italian Brass Wall Sconces with Opaline Glass Shades
-
Description
Pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1950s featuring a minimal yet refined composition in brass and opaline glass. Each light presents a cylindrical opaline glass holder supporting a softly rounded shade that diffuses a warm glow when illuminated. Pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1950s in brass and opaline glass. Each light features an oval opaline shade set on a cylindrical white-painted holder, mounted on a round brass backplate.
The arms are non-mirrored: both project from the backplate with the same angle and direction, so when installed as a pair they point towards the centre of the composition, but one arm is inclined slightly upward and the other slightly downward. This creates a subtle vertical contrast between the two sconces while keeping a clear visual relationship between them.
Standard E14 socket, suitable for use in both Europe and the USA.
Original vintage condition with patina and minor signs of age to the brass.
Backplate diameter: 10 cm -
