French 1920s Small Round Bistro Table

Description
A classic 1920s French bistro table, done in black. The round top is Bakelite, an early plastic dating back to 1907. It is, in fact, the world’s first synthetic plastic. The wonderfully patinated top is surrounded by a simply styled brass band that encircles the entire top, with a small lip extending over its edge. The tripod base is made of cast iron, and done in a classic style. A sharp-looking table in black and brass.
