Description
Some notes about the author Max Ingrand: a famous French master glass worker and decorator, he was artistic director of FontanaArte for one decade, starting from 1954. During that time, he came up with true design classics. Having studied at the school of fine Arts in Paris, he specialised in the decorative Arts, under the guidance of major artists such as Jacques Grüber and Charles Lemaresquier. He produced a great number of stained glass panels for religious buildings, hotels and public places, and was awarded the French Legion of Honour.
Rare pair of Model 1774 pedestal side tables designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, Italy, circa 1958. Featuring elegant tapered brass bases and circular smoked glass tops, these tables embody the refined aesthetic of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. Their sculptural silhouette and timeless proportions make them ideal as side tables or decorative pedestals.
The pair consists of two different heights: 66 cm and 58 cm
In very good condition and ready to be shipped.
