Dating from the late 19th century, this bloomed gold lorgnette necklace is set with demantoid garnet highlights. Enclosing folding spring loaded lenses released by a thumbpiece, the high relief case centering a fleur-de-lis accented by diamond and demantoid garnet mêlée features scrolling floral and foliate motifs, continuing to a reeded columnar handle terminating in a shell and foliate design bail. A stylish jeweled pendant with a purpose, wear this lorgnette for its beauty, fun, and function.
