Spanish 18th Century Oak Refectory Table
-
Description
A Spanish refectory or fratino table from the 18th century–traditionally used in abbeys–this multipurpose table easily adapts to a console, dining table, or writing desk for practically any interior. The single plank top is supported by an exquisite base made of splayed, fret-carved lyre legs with an Arabesque profile curved and pointed along the edges ending with feet that have the profile of shoes. Typical of fratino tables, each wrought iron stretcher bar bypasses the other, swooping from the underside of the top to meet the opposite leg pinned by an iron stud on the outside. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique table is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images for the current condition.
