Description
This rare table lamp was designed by Kent Eriksson and produced by Designhuset in Sweden during the 1970s. The lamp is marked with the designer’s initials “KE” and “Designhuset Sweden” on the underside of the base. Designhuset was a Swedish ceramics studio founded in 1973 by the iconic Carl-Harry Stålhane after his departure from Rörstrand, known for its artistic, small-scale ceramic production near Lidköping.
The design features a rounded, bottle-shaped ceramic base finished in a slightly glossy blue glaze with rich tonal variations, creating a beautiful drip or gradient effect. The tapered shade has been newly crafted in smooth ivory fabric, offering a refined neutral contrast to the colors of the base.
The lamp is in very good condition, with renewed wiring and a brand-new custom shade. Currently with 220V European wiring and a standard E26/E27 bulb fitting.
Dimensions Total height including shade: 39 cm / 15.4 in Height of base (excluding shade): 29 cm / 11.4 in Diameter of shade: 25.5 cm / 10 in Diameter of base: 12 cm / 4.7 in (at the widest point) -
