Description
Dimensions: 10 ¾” H x 17” W x 11 ¼” D
A fantastic antique marriage trunk or bridal box from 19th century France decorated with stylized foliate details that grace the exterior: iris and daffodils including their bright green leaves–all marvelously patinated over the past two centuries, expressing the trunk’s age in a manner that one can both see and feel. The minimal metal hardware has all been worked by hand and the domed top provides a distinguished style to set this exceptional trunk apart from any ordinary box, all the more dear knowing it was crafted for a special life milestone. Even the interior has been lined in four coordinating floral/foliate designs on printed cotton to carry the joyful theme throughout. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look.
