Description
This elegant floor lamp was produced in France in the late 1950s. Crafted entirely from brass, the design reflects the refined neoclassical style often associated with Maison Jansen.
The slender stem is composed of a series of bamboo-like segments, giving the piece both texture and rhythm while maintaining a graceful vertical line. The lamp stands on a beautifully formed tripod base with three gently curved legs, a detail that creates a striking and balanced silhouette. The brass has a polished surface with a subtle, naturally aged sheen.
The tapered drum shade has been renewed in smooth ivory fabric, offering a refined contrast to the warm golden tone of the brass. The lamp has been rewired for safety and is currently fitted with a 220 V European plug and a foot switch.
Specified dimensions:
Total height including shade: 159.5 cm (62.8 in.)
Height of the base only: 144 cm (56.7 in.)
Diameter of the shade: 40 cm (15.7 in.)
Width of the foot: 41 cm (16.1 in.)
Depth of the foot: 37 cm (14.6 in.) -
