Pair of 1950s Italian Wall Sconces in Brass, Green Steel and Opaline Glass
-
Description
Pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1950s, combining green lacquered steel arms, brass details and softly diffusing opaline glass shades in a refined mid-century composition.
Each sconce features a slender vertical rod rising from a circular brass backplate (12 cm / approx. 4.7 in in diameter), with a curved green arm that supports the conical glass shade and a thin brass stem that visually balances the structure, giving the design an elegant, slightly architectural look. The opaline glass provides a warm, even light that works well both as ambient and accent lighting.
Each sconce is fitted with a standard E14 socket, suitable for use in Europe as well as in the United States and Canada with the appropriate E14 bulbs.
The brass and lacquered metal show a natural, authentic patina and minor wear consistent with age and use; on the green lacquered steel there are visible traces of oxidation and a few small paint losses. The glass shades are in very good vintage condition. - More Information
