Description
This rare table lamp was produced in Sweden in the late 1940s, in the Swedish Modern style.
The graphic design is composed of a single continuous brass ring, rising from a circular walnut base to support the shade above. The electrical cord is cleverly concealed within the base, leaving the brass ring completely free of any visible wiring and giving the lamp an open, airy silhouette. The brass has an attractive, evenly aged patina. The tapered shade has been newly recovered in an ivory Pierre Frey silk fabric.
The lamp is in very good condition with a natural patina on both the brass and the wood. Renewed 220V wiring and a renewed E26/E27 bulb fitting, as well as a new custom shade.
Total Height (incl. shade): 37 cm / 14.6 in
Base Height (excl. shade): 25 cm / 9.8 in
Shade Diameter: 30 cm / 11.8 in
Footprint (base and ring): 18.5 x 13.5 cm / 7.3 x 5.3 in -
