Description
Pair of hand crafted 1940s South or Central American lounge chairs wrapped in hemp cord in a herringbone pattern.
Hand shaped chair bases from a dense tropical hardwood support with a seat frame that resembles the classic
The chairs were brought back to Virginia by an OSS officer stationed in Central America Nicaragua during World War II.
The seats have been rewrapped in hand dyed hemp cord identical to the original weave pattern..
The pair of chairs are in very good condition. -
