-
Description
An English 18th century oak oval gateleg drop-leaf table with unusual drake feet. Born in the second half of the 18th century, this English gateleg table features an oval top made of two drop leaves, sitting above a nicely turned base with side stretchers. Two gatelegs extend to receive the drop leaves, allowing the table to open fully. The depth of the table is 16.5 inches when the sides are down. The general simplicity of lines is subtly contrasted by the elegance of the turned legs as well as the unusual drake feet. With its convenient shape and rich patina, this English 1780 drop-leaf gateleg table will be an asset to any home.
