Description
Pair of Italian wall sconces dating from the 1950s, defined by clean lines and balanced proportions typical of the period’s modern design. Each fixture features a conical opaline glass shade, softly diffusing the light, mounted on a solid brass arm extending from a circular wall plate. The brass components display a natural, even patina that enhances their vintage character.
The wall plate has a diameter of 10 cm (3.93 in) and is secured with two visible brass fasteners. The glass shade is held in place by four small brass pins, emphasizing the precision and simplicity of the construction.
Each sconce is equipped with a standard E14 socket, suitable for use in both European and U.S. electrical systems with appropriate bulbs.
A refined example of mid-century Italian lighting, where craftsmanship and geometry meet to create a discreet yet elegant wall presence. -
