Description
Created in 1955, this aquamarine and diamond cocktail ring by Oscar Heyman is set in platinum. It is mounted with an emerald-cut aquamarine weighing 21.59 carats, flanked by tapering diamond baguettes. A substantial aqua with a sweet and heavenly blue, this classic cocktail ring exudes period glamor.
Size: 6.5
Materials: 1 emerald-cut aquamarine (weighing 21.59 carats); 2 tapered baguette diamonds (weighing 0.47 carat); Platinum
Gram Weight: 12.6 g
Signed: IRID PLAT
Documentation: The ring is accompanied by a photo-illustrated certificate of authenticity from Oscar Heyman, dated June 10, 2025, stating that the ring is serial no. 51941, and specifying weights, approximate weights, and dates of manufacture.
While many substantial, step-cut gems allow a great deal of light to escape from the back, often causing the skin to be seen through them when worn, this over 20 carat aqua is artfully cut, its facets angled like little mirrors, with typical Heyman quality, to send abundant color back to the eye. -
