Description
This rare pair of table lamps was produced by EAE (Elektrofabriks Aktiebolaget Eskilstuna) in Sweden in the 1950s.The lamps are marked with the manufacturer’s stamp “EAE’” and the model number 448 on the underside of each base.
The elegant design is composed of a rounded triangular base in clear glass, cut with a graphic diamond grid pattern that catches the light beautifully. A tall, slender stem in polished brass rises from the center of each base, giving the lamps a refined, understated presence. The new, tapered shades are custom made in a cream Pierre Frey silk, which gives the lamps a warm, pleasant light distribution once switched on.
The pair is in very good original condition. Currently wired with a 220V European plug. Renewed shades.
