Description
This attractive, well woven, west Persian village scatter shows a rising central axis anchored by hooked palmettes and two adjacent intermittent columns of cypresses. These are balanced by lateral, downward palmette chains. All on the sand ground. Movement and countermovement. Navy strip style main border with a variant on the "tangerine flower" repeat. Leathery texture. Natural dye palette. Good condition.
