Information from the artist Nathan Benn:
I took this photograph on assignment for National Geographic Magazine in 1981 for a state story on Florida. The subject is trainers working at the 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach. Established in 1950, six or seven world champion boxers including Mohammed Ali have trained here.
