20th Century Art Nouveau Side Table/ Coffee Table, Austria ca. 1905
-
Description
Exquisite Art Nouveau side table/ coffe table from the famous Vienna secession period around 1905 in Austria. This fantastic side table was made of beech and trimmed to a beautiful nut wood look. The round top plate floats on four delicate beech columns which are crested by beautiful shimmering brass ends on the extraordinary shaped, mahogany veneered base. A highlight is the lovely Art Nouveau fabric from the renowed company of Backhausen under the glass plate which by te way fits perfect to our exclusive Josef Hoffmann bentwood seating set from J & J Kohn from 1903 (Ref. ID: LU-JH19). The straight, clean and still timeless design combined with a traditional shellac polished surface and the brass elements finalize the outstanding look of this very elegant and rare Art Nouveau side table/ coffee table.
