19th Century Louis Philippe Wall Console Table With Drawer, Austria ca. 1860
-
Description
Elegant mid 19th century Louis Philippe wall console table, elaborately handmade in Austria during the period around 1860. This console table owes its look of opulence to the graceful curve of its legs and its rounded lines, indicative of the era in which it was made. Delicately crafted details can be found throughout the piece, but its curved solid wooden legs, corners and central front part boast the bulk of its elaborate and intricate carvings. Made from fine nutwood and surfaced with a fantastic looking mirrormatched walnut veneer, the console’s intrigue is heightened by the presence of a “hidden” drawer, additionally adorned by beautiful carvings. A traditional hand-polished shellac finish completes the breathtaking look of this delicate 19th century Louis Philippe wall console table.
