A French 19th century jardinière basket from the School of Fontainebleau with high relief floral barbotine décor. Born in France during the 19th century, this exquisite jardinière features a brown and russet textured ground imitating a wicker basket, adorned with an exquisite high relief barbotine décor of pastel flowers accompanied with their leaves. The basket's upper section is topped with a large handle presenting a twisted effect. With its petite proportions and lovely barbotine décor, this French 19th century Ecole de Fontainebleau jardinière basket will bring a charming decorative touch to any home, perhaps placed above a buffet, chest-of-drawers or on a tabletop.
