Unusual bentwood armchair produced by the famous company of Thonet at the end of the 19th century around 1895 in Vienna. This rare Austrian Art Nouveau armchair impresses with absoutely beautiful designed lines. The incredible looking armrests with rolled up ends were made out of one piece of bentwood which also holds the backrest at the same time. The closed beechwood backrest shows a fantastic grain and the delicate shaped chairlegs confer this extraordinary Thonet chair a phenomenal appearance. A truly gorgeous example of an antique armchair from the very early Art Nouveau period in Austria.
