An English painted wood broken arch pediment from the late 19th century, with carved molding. Born in England during the later years of the 19th century, this exquisite architectural element features a broken arch silhouette, with curving, pierced top. Adorned with molded accents, the pediment presents an exquisite Greek key style carving that adds a touch of classicism to the more Baroque inspiration of the lines. Painted in a soft color complimenting the ensemble beautifully, this English late 19th century broken arch pediment will be a great focal point hung on any wall, particularly placed above a door, enfilade or console table.
