Italian 1850s Rococo Style Ten-Light Crystal Chandelier with Gilt Metal Armature

This Italian ten-light crystal Rococo style chandelier from the mid-19th century features a gilt, antique gold colored metal armature made of various scrolls and volutes. At the crest, s-scrolls support rosettes and pendeloques. The eye gently follows down the curvy lines, to discover the scrolled arms with simple bobèches and authentic ivory wax antiqued style candle sleeves. Another set of crystal pendeloques decorates the lower section of the chandelier, with the visual punctuation created by the round finial. The ensemble is discreetly draped with crystal beads. Elegantly secured inside the chandelier structure, a small glass obelisk represents the finishing touch. Perfectly charming and not overpowering, this Italian ten-light crystal chandelier, circa 1850 will bring beautiful light to any room, perhaps above a dining table or breakfast table.
