Pair of 1950s Italian Wall Sconces in Brass with Sculpted Opaline Glass Shades

Description
Matched wall lights produced in Italy in the 1950s. Each fixture has a vertical brass stem fixed to the wall by a shallow, curved brass bracket. From the lower section of the stem, a bent brass arm projects forward and upward to a black-lacquered socket collar that holds a sculpted opaline glass diffuser. The glass shade is matte-finished and tapers gradually from a wider base to a narrow top, providing an even, glare-free glow.
Brass surfaces show a uniform time-earned patina.
Wiring is equipped with a single E14 candelabra socket rated 110–240 V; the sconces can be installed without modification in continental Europe, the United Kingdom, or the United States—only an E14 bulb suited to the local voltage is required.
