A pair of Swedish Gustavian style painted wood breakfront chests from the 19th century, with three drawers, fluted side posts and carved rosettes. Created in Sweden during the 19th century, each of this pair of chests features a rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above three dovetailed drawers fitted with classical brass hardware. Flanked with fluted sides posts with carved rosettes, the chests are painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes and are raised on tapered feet angled in the front. With their clean lines and delicate décor, these Gustavian Style 19th century breakfront chests will bring a touch of undeniable elegance to any bedroom or living room.
