Created in Europe during the early years of the 19th century, this tall painted wood secretary features a molded cornice topped with a carved dentil molding, sitting above two doors with slightly recessed panels and a fluted post in the center. These doors open to reveal inner shelves with hidden drawers offering convenient storage space. The central section showcases a slanted front desk with scalloped compartments, secret ones and multiple drawers surrounding a central door, while the bottom part presents two thin, narrow drawers followed by three larger graduated ones, all fitted with Classical hardware.
